Sea Glass Cottage is a three bedroomed cottage over-looking the dunes of Allonby, just yards from the beach. Tastefully furnished for comfort and coziness, it’s the perfect place to relax.

Ground Floor

A double-glazed K glass conservatory stretches across the entire frontage, allowing you to feel as though you are outdoors all day but keeping the sea breezes at bay. On warm days, however, double sliding doors push back to allow the outside right in. The conservatory has comfortable furniture and a smaller dining table for breakfasts virtually al fresco.

The lounge/dining room has a log-burning stove and comfortable seating for five. The settee has an integral ‘chaise longue’ and there’s a footstool too, so everyone can really put their feet up. An upcycled dining table seats up to six.

The kitchen is spacious; entirely re-fitted in 2015. Facilities include an American style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. There’s a single oven and 5 burner gas hob, microwave, soup-maker, slow-cooker and DeLunghi Nespresso coffee machine, plus enough crockery, cutlery, pots and pans for all your catering needs. Off the kitchen is a rear lobby, the ideal place to leave damp coats and boots and to towel off the dogs. There is also a loo.

First Floor

The first double has a king-sized zip ‘n’ link double bed which can be converted to twins. This is a quiet room at the rear of the first floor.

The second double has a ¾ sized bed, ideal for those who like to snuggle. This room is at the front of the cottage, with outstanding beach and sea views.

Also at the front of the cottage, with beach and sea views, the third bedroom has a single bed. There is space for a travel cot, which can be provided, without bedding.

The bathroom has a large bath, separate shower, wash-hand basin and WC.

Outdoors

The cottage has uninterrupted views of the dunes, the Solway and Criffle (on the Scottish side of the Solway). On some days, the Isle of Man is also visible.

There is immediate access (across a gravel track and a pleasant green) to the beach.

A small, gated, decked area at the front of the cottage is secure for children and pets and provides seating for sunny days. A barbecue is provided. There is a log store for fuel.
